One particularly telling discovery during the archival process was the presence of numerous near-duplicate practice works. The same structures and brush movements were repeated again and again. These works, often unseen by the public, bear witness to her diligence and her belief that true mastery is achieved through sustained, patient practice rather than momentary inspiration.

This commitment is clearly reflected in her calligraphy. Her strokes are firm, decisive, and controlled, revealing a deep sense of bodily memory and confidence developed over time. Such strength is not accidental—it is the visible result of long-term discipline.

The exhibition also presents her experimental “finger-imprint” works, in which fingertips and palms are directly imprinted onto the surface. These tactile marks stand in quiet contrast to the precision of her brushwork. Rather than challenging tradition, they gently expand it—demonstrating the freedom that comes only after deep technical understanding.
